The Truth Of The Matter

For some time now I have been observing this political system of this Republic (The United States of America) and I have come away after much observation and inward looking at the totality of the system (political) and have come to the conclusion, that it is a system of connivance and money spent, among other things that lurks in the background. It certainly does not measures up to its' definition: Government by the people; a government in which the supreme power is vested in and exercised either directly or through elected representatives. Those that claim to represent the people are more loyal to a party or their own self-interest than those in their districts. Democracy is a form of government that has run amok in this Republic, heck, with an election that soured in 2000 that left the country in the hands of what can accurately be described as despots [a junta] that led this country into wars that shouldn't have been waged and the looting of the country's treasure in every sense of the word for more than nine years,[conflict still on-going in Afghanistan]. The style of democracy  this Republic practices is as phony as it gets and the worst of the matter is, there's so many uneducated voters [not being able to form an opinion of their own] that listen to some radio or television personality to give them a direction to go, even though it is in the wrong direction as far as benefiting them. I like what Winston Churchill said of democracy, "The best argument against democracy is a five-minute conversation with the average voter." Talk about being  steeped in ignorance. Democracy is of little importance to those whose needs and wishes are not being met, but I will readily admit, there is no other form of government that offer the people a say in the affairs of the country when the people make themselves available [understanding and acting in a prudent and coherence fashion] to all that entails of a government for the people, by the people.
